Mack

Growing up with a mother and aunt who led yoga practices, her time on the mat is like a journey home. It is a baseline, a resting heartbeat – eat, sleep, drink water, breathe, yoga, repeat – Mackenzie (or Mack) has been practicing yoga since she was 8 years old, back when meditating was just quiet time. Throughout her life yoga has moved from the forefront to the backburner and then back again many times. It’s been a journey (and still is).  With this in mind, she encourages students to release the expectations of how you “should” practice so they may just find what they need from their practice.

Aside from yoga, Mack is a passionate outdoor enthusiast and strives to bring those themes into her classes. Trail runners, kayakers, skiers, snowboarders and climbers, let’s mend our bodies together! Just starting your yoga journey or returning from pregnancy or injury, Mack is well equipped with a variety of fun options to try out.

Mack received her 200 hour yoga certification from Core Power Yoga in Pentagon City, Virginia in 2017. Soon after she moved to Seattle, Washington and took on a community teaching role leading 60 minute Hot Vinyasa classes. When the pandemic changed the fitness world in 2020, she moved her classes online and taught yin and vinyasa classes virtually.  Her teaching style is inspired by Baron Baptiste’s power yoga format and BKS Iyengar’s focus on alignment. On the mat she enjoys the full spectrum of practice from yoga nidra and breathwork classes to ashtanga and power vinyasa.
